I knew it!!

You Should Learn French

C'est super! You appreciate the finer things in life... wine, art, cheese, love affairs.

You are definitely a Parisian at heart. You just need your tongue to catch up...

Lost keys

Today I came home from work and did some stuff at home before going to my class. When I was about to walk out the door, I realized that I didn't have my keys. I checked every room I had been in, three times. Could not find them. Finally I gave up, pulled my spare key from my room and went out the garage. I was fifteen minutes late to my class.
Now, it is a rare occasion that I can actually remember the last time I had possession of something, but this was one of those moments. I had left my purse on the stairs, and I almost went outside, but then remembered what I wanted was upstairs, so I tossed my keys back in my purse and went upstairs. This means my keys should have been either in my purse or on the stairs, though they were in neither place. I had the sneaking suspicion that a small person might have helped me lose my keys. So I come home after class and empty out my purse. They are not there. So I turn to the Small Monster and say "Small Monster, do you know where my keys are?" He starts to shake his head no, then breaks into a broad grin and says "They're upstairs in my room." So I ask him to go get them and he comes downstairs with his hands behind his back and says "Pick which hand" I can never decide if I should be mad, or just laugh. Generally I pick laughing.

Help!

I need some good ideas for bridal shower games. I personally prefer ones where I don't have to do dumb stuff, but the bride does. Especially since the bride is my sister, any embarassment is ideal!

I wonder where she gets it from

My sister is crazy. She is getting married, which isn't the crazy part. The crazy part is that originally they had planned on getting married in April, and just this Sunday they changed it to December!! Just seven weeks away.
Actually, I am glad they are not waiting, but I just wish they had decided to go with December three weeks ago the first time they thought about it instead of changing their minds because now I have less time to make things work. And I can really afford helping with their wedding right now. And my sister has informed me that I am her wedding planner too.
Crazy!!!!

Osmondmania

So on Friday, we had some people over and we had to watch Oprah with Donny and Marie. It was quite entertaining to watch, actually. I was making dinner at the time, but I caught pieces. My land lady actually sold Marie four pairs of ballroom shoes a few weeks ago, and when we watched Marie doing her quickstep (with no connection to her partner, actually), they did a close up of their feet. My landlady screamed "My shoes are on Oprah!!!" It was quite possibly one of the funniest things I've seen in a while.
So Osmondmania has hit our house, but only because its tied to ballroom dancing. Crazy.

Always be prepared

This totally made me think of Parker. This one's for you!!

Whoops . . . .

I am now in the phase where the composure starts to fray. The sad part is that I always do this to myself! You'd think I would learn.

It didn't help that I lost my planner on Tuesday! I can't remember anything without my planner. Seriously. I used to have to tell my boyfriend the things I needed to get done, or I would simply forget. Good news is that even though I left it at one of the schools I subbed at, they found it and I retrieved it.

Also, its competition time. Which means I no longer have weekends to recover from the week. I do have a really good time competing though.

And I am in the middle of switching jobs so I can make more money before I leave for France. We'll see if I last at my new job.

Ah if only I could find a nice soft room with a nice white jacket . . .
