Missionary Prep

Last Sunday I went to the missionary prep class with my brother. Not because I am planning on going, but I'm hoping my brother will go in the near future. I was asked to help another girl prepare for a mission, so now I will be going to that class for a while. But as I sat and listened to the lesson, I decided that I think this class is something I need right now in my life. I have been feeling a little down and without focus, and this class gives me something to focus on. Also, missionary work is one of my weaknesses, so hopefully I'll strengthen that area of my life too.

Wuthering Heights

I had to read a novel for the Independent Study class I am taking and I decided on Wuthering Heights. I had tried reading it while in high school and just could not get into it.
This novel is supposed to be very romantic. But honestly, I didn't think it was romantic at all. Heathcliff wastes his life trying to punish the family of the girl he loved because they wouldn't let him be with her. I just didn't get it. So I read the novel twice and watched the movie in hopes that it would become clearer. It didn't. I don't understand Heathcliff's motivations at all. He is character that doesn't make sense to me at all.
Maybe I just have a warped sense of romance.

There is a first time for everything

On Saturday, I decided I wanted to see Miss Pettigrew lives for a Day. I had plenty of time to call someone to go with me. Unfortunately, something came up and I ended up with less time than I had anticipated. But I also called about half the people in my phone. So finally I decided that I would just go see it anyway. So for the first time in my life, I went to a movie alone.
It wasn't that bad (going alone). Still I prefer going with someone.
But I thought the movie was very cute. I recommend it.

It rains, it pours

My car.
I left it with my sister while I was in France. That was all fine and great.
When I got back, I had to change the studded snow tires off (because they had been illegal for 18 days), fix the windshield wiper, register my car and then just last Friday, I took it to the shop to get a dent fixed. Finally everything was back to normal.
Right. You all know where this is going. I walked out of FHE tonight and guess what. Sometime between when I got it back from the shop Friday and Monday night, someone hit my car and dented the other side. It is crinkled right in front of the right side back tire. Not enough to cause problems (I hope) but enough to be really annoying because I just got it back from fixing the last dent!!
Just had to share that with someone.

Just saw the new trailer. I cannot wait! to see this movie!!

Odd Day
