Life has turned me into such a pessimist.
Maybe its only when I talk to newly engaged or newly married couples who say 'life is great!" or "life is going to be great!" I hope on some level they realize that life really, really sucks sometimes. Yes, there are fantastic, fabulous moments that make up for all the bad stuff, but the bad stuff is still there.
Maybe I just don't understand because I have never been in that position. But sometimes I just wonder if they realize that there are two sides to the coin. What is going to happen when the blinders come off?
(It's not all couples. Just a few in particular, which may be why I think they are wearing blinders.)
