Short Chapter

Well, it was fun while it lasted.
Last night Molasses Man said that he wanted to 'cool things off'. Essentially, he wants to go back to being friends, which really means breaking up.
The emotional part of me is hurt and very disappointed, but the rational part of me is getting really good at saying 'I told you so'. Honestly, keeping this relationship going has been a struggle. I want a real relationship, and he just wants supportive friends. Obviously, we are not on the same page. I've kind of ignored the promptings that this relationship was not what I needed because I've been trying to not judge things so fast and give things a chance (of course, this is partly because someone told me that I needed to give 'the next guy' a chance, but as we can see, that person doesn't know much about listening to the Spirit). I need to trust myself more, and the promptings that I get. I've kind of been feeling Spiritually detached lately, and I think this may be a big part of it. When you ignore the Spirit, it makes it hard for Him to communicate with you.
So rough as the next few days may be, I think it will be better in the long run.
Too bad. I really liked Molasses Man.
Here's hoping the start of the next chapter isn't too far away.
