I want an Edward

Ferris that is. Or a Colonel Brandon. Serious, where are the men like that? Right now I'm leaning towards a Colonel Brandon, not sure how long it'll stay that way.

Sigh, why is it movie men seem to be so much better than real men?

I am hoping that "I" am not lumped into the catagorie of men who aren't as good as movie men. If so, let me know where improvement (if any) is needed or desired. The Old Man

Dads don't count when it comes to complaining about men, unless specifically noted.

It is because dreamy movie men are usually written by women. Cases in point: Col. Brandon, Captain Wentworth, Misters Darcy, Bingley, Ferrars, Thorton, and Rochester. Did I miss any?

Down with movie men! They leave women with unrealistic expectations towards real men! I'm not scripted so I'll never appear as great as your movie men are!

That's a good point Eli. Its generally more what they do than what they say, but that is still scripted. I did just go out with a guy who took out the garbage and did the dishes, and he didn't move too fast. So there is hope there, right?
