Most things in your life are organized and planned well. But you borderline on being a total perfectionist. Agreeableness: You have high agreeableness. You Are Ballroom Dancing |
![]() You are sophisticated and classy. Definitely not the type to be seen dancing on a bar. You are a bit old fashioned. You prefer dance to be subtly sexy, not in your face sexy. You are sentimental and nostalgic. You appreciate the beauty of old things. You are even tempered and cooperative. You work well with a partner. |
A door closes, a window opens
The question is, do you really want that window?
Last night I called my friend from Wyoming and she really wanted to set me up with this guy. He's currently in Wyoming, but his family is in Orem and he comes down all the time. So after she and I got off the phone, he called me. And we talked for about an hour and a half. He was really nice. He was driving down today, so we met at ColdStone and had ice cream. Sometimes I don't like talking to people before I meet them because I always create a picture of them in my head that never matches their appearance. He looks very rugged, (rugg-ed? How do you spell that?) but not so much that its scary. Well, he looks like a country dancer, which he is. His looks kind of remind me of FarmBoy. He has taught survival classes, but he also dances and sings and likes classic movies. He was very nice and I've decided that I'll have to give him another date before I pass judgement. The biggest potential problem I see is that he is divorced with three kids, and I've realized that I have definite opinions about how children should (or at least how my children will) be raised.
So that's my initial impression. I am looking forward to moving to California and dating new material. Is that bad?

Interview
I have a job interview down in CA in two weeks.
Downside- I have to have a ton of documentation, including references from the places I've worked over the last three years. This is a problem because I have changed jobs every year since college. So I have to go to three different employers. Guess what I'll be spending the next two weeks doing?
I hope the interview actually leads to a position because the positions are 'open until filled'. Hopefully they won't all be filled.

Short Chapter
Well, it was fun while it lasted.
Last night Molasses Man said that he wanted to 'cool things off'. Essentially, he wants to go back to being friends, which really means breaking up.
The emotional part of me is hurt and very disappointed, but the rational part of me is getting really good at saying 'I told you so'. Honestly, keeping this relationship going has been a struggle. I want a real relationship, and he just wants supportive friends. Obviously, we are not on the same page. I've kind of ignored the promptings that this relationship was not what I needed because I've been trying to not judge things so fast and give things a chance (of course, this is partly because someone told me that I needed to give 'the next guy' a chance, but as we can see, that person doesn't know much about listening to the Spirit). I need to trust myself more, and the promptings that I get. I've kind of been feeling Spiritually detached lately, and I think this may be a big part of it. When you ignore the Spirit, it makes it hard for Him to communicate with you.
So rough as the next few days may be, I think it will be better in the long run.
Too bad. I really liked Molasses Man.
Here's hoping the start of the next chapter isn't too far away.
