My Favorite Thing About France

Is . . .

The food. I'll be honest.

The first night here, we went and had crepes at a mall. Nutella and whipped cream. Mmmm. Yesterday, we went to Versailles. Very extravagant. But we stopped at a little restaurant that seriously had like a hundred different ways they could prepare your crepe. I had banane et chocolat noir. Bananas and dark chocolate syrup. That was about as close to heaven as I've been in a long time. I wish we had dark chocolate syrup in the States. Maybe we do, but I've never seen it. Then today, we stopped by this little hole in the wall (no, seriously, you bought the food out of what looked like a booth but it was in the wall) I think it was a Greek cafe. We had a gyro. Oh my goodness, it was fantastic. And I don't like beef. Beef, tomatoes, onions, fries (with the most amazing seasoning on them) and some kind of sauce, a little like ranch, but way better. I have not had a bad meal since I've been here. Even the frozen pizza we bought was good.

France is food heaven.
